Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Tape Desk (the “Service”), operated by Balcones Digital LLC (d/b/a Tape Desk) (“we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Tape Desk aggregates a U.S. economic-events calendar and a live financial-news feed into a single dashboard, with optional paid subscriber features.

Not financial advice. The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing in it is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation to buy or sell any security or instrument. The directional “Result” indicator is an automated heuristic and can be wrong. You are solely responsible for your own decisions. Trading involves substantial risk of loss.

2. Data accuracy

Market and calendar data come from third-party sources and are provided “as is”. It may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or temporarily unavailable, and we do not warrant its correctness or timeliness.

3. Accounts

You sign in with Google and are responsible for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old.

4. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans: $7.99/month, $79.99/year, and a one-time $149.99 lifetime plan.
Monthly and yearly plans include a 5-day free trial; you are not charged if you cancel before it ends.
Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Billing is handled by Stripe.
You can cancel anytime from the in-app billing portal; access continues through the end of the paid period.
The lifetime plan is a single payment for continued access and does not auto-renew.
Prices may change with notice; changes do not affect the current paid period.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to scrape, resell, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the Service or its data feeds, and not to misuse, overload, or attempt to circumvent access controls.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, excluding third-party data, is our property. Third-party data remains the property of its providers.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any trading losses or for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes are reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
